about

With a title track composed as the theme song for an imaginary detective story, this album contains a few original tunes, some emotionally evocative classical French compositions, and some swinging pieces in the "jazz manouche" tradition represented by guitar genius Django Reinhardt and master violinist Stéphane Grappelli.

about

Whatclub Mariehamn, Åland Islands

With its roots firmly in the tradition of gypsy swing, Whatclub takes the music style in a new, fresh-sounding direction. They mix original compositions with their own arrangements of classical pieces and standard tunes.

The group has so far released four albums: 'Road to Kokkola' (2008), 'Live at Alandica' (2011), 'Fleurs de la Fôret' (2014) and 'Mariehamn noir' (2018).
